UL 758 Appliance Wiring Material

UL 758 Appliance Wiring Material

UL-recognised appliance wiring material (AWM) to UL 758 — single-core internal wiring in PVC, ETFE and XLPE insulations for appliances and equipment

Appliance wiring cables are manufactured as per UL/CSA standards and are used for internal wiring of panels and electrical equipment.

There are single-core cables viz. UL 1015, UL 1007, UL 1569 and UL 1275 in this category, used for internal wiring of switchboards, televisions, appliances and refrigeration equipment. These cables are also used as lead wire / hook-up wire. Single cores are available from 21 AWG to 500 kcmil. UL 3289 is a single-core cable suitable for use from -50°C to +150°C.

This category also offers multicore cables viz. UL 2587, UL 2464, UL 2576, UL 2598 and UL 2586, used in measuring, control and the connection between control panels and machines. These comply with flame-retardant characteristics as per UL VW-1 and CSA FT1/FT2 as applicable.

The category also offers Tri-rated cable manufactured as per UL 1015, CSA 22.2 and BS 6231.
