About the Role

We are looking for a Design Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role you will design and develop high-performance cable and wire-harness solutions for automotive, aerospace, industrial automation and heating applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, reliable and cost-effective solutions that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop cable, wire-harness and heating-cable assemblies as per customer specifications and industry standards.
Prepare detailed engineering drawings, BOMs and technical documentation.
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality and procurement teams to ensure design feasibility and cost optimisation.
Conduct DFMEA, risk assessments and design validation to ensure product reliability.
Support prototype builds, testing and qualification activities.
Ensure compliance with applicable UL, VDE and IEC standards and customer requirements.
Provide technical support throughout the product life cycle.

Skills & Qualifications

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of cable and harness design principles, materials and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in design tools (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks, EPLAN).
Understanding of industry standards (e.g. IPC/WHMA-A-620, ISO, UL, VDE, IEC).
Experience in electrical, thermal and mechanical design validation.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
